The overall responsibility for effective and efficient operation of police services in Yuba City is tasked to Administration. The Chief of Police, with the assistance of his senior commanders, engagement in participative management, gaining guidance from members of the public, City Council and City Manager, sets the Department on a strategic focus.

The Office of Professional Standards, Budget/Records Management, Crime Analysis, Legislative Coordination and the COMPSTAT Accountability Program, which focuses our resources and holds each member of the Department accountable for contributing to the overall safety of our community, also fall under Administration.

With an annual budget of $14,000,000, and 104 fulltime employees, the Police Department is the largest of all City Departments.
